The Ordinary: Anti-Aging Regimen Guide

I bought my first “The Ordinary” products earlier this month and can’t help but notice how difficult it was to decipher which products were right for me. Aside from feeling like I needed a degree in Chemistry to pronounce the names, the products weren’t categorized into what I’m typically used to seeing – the traditional Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize model. I was quite overwhelmed and confused when browsing The Ordinary’s website, so I thought I’d go ahead and learn more about this brand and do some videos to help explain how to pick to pick the right Ordinary products for your skin type and needs.

Japan Skincare and Makeup Shopping Guide

We’ve planned our trip to Japan! Although I am slightly disappointed that we will be going as the cherry blossom season is winding down, I’m still very excited because this time, we’re visiting the island of Kyushu – a different scene than the previous trips we’ve taken (Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto). From what I understand, Kyushu is home to major cities such as Fukuoka (home of the famous Hakata style tonkotsu ramen), Nagasaki, Kumamoto, and the “onsen” hot springs resort town of Beppu.

Review: Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask

I’ve been excited to share my thoughts about this sleeping mask! I’ve heard so many good things about the Glow Recipe brand, and watermelon is one of my favorite fruits…. so I figured I would at least like how this mask smells.  I remember growing up in Taiwan, some women would use watermelon rinds to moisturize their face. I thought it was the strangest thing at the time, but now looking back at it those women might have been up to something! Watermelons are, after all, mostly water.

Updated: Spring 2018 Skincare Routine

Happy Spring! The weather is getting warmer and warmer – pretty soon it will be a thousand degrees here in Las Vegas. The dry climate in Las Vegas wreaked havoc on my skin when we first moved here. I’ve been trying and experimenting with different products and finally came across a routine that’s been working well for me. If you live a dry, arid desert environment, you might want to give some of these products a try. I try to focus on moisturization, with emphasis on brightening.

Five Favorites: Korean Skincare Products

I’ve been trying a lot of Korean skincare products lately, part of gathering more content for this blog as well as finding inspiration for my newest hobby and addition to this blog – building Beauty Lately’s YouTube channel! As a marketer by day, I see how fast e-commerce and digital marketing is shaping how consumers shop and interact with brands. Long gone are the days of brands speaking to consumers via ads.
