Welcome to Skincare 101

Better skin and defy looking your age is possible, you just have to know how. Your skin is the largest organ of your body and is a direct reflection of your inner well-being. Learning how to take care of it early on will save time and money in the long run.

As a marketer who has spent the majority of my career in beauty and skincare, the most common thing I heard from people is that skincare is complicated and hard to understand. The steps sounds intimidating and unnecessary. Some people might prefer to invest their money on “cover up” beauty products – foundations, powders, concealers, eyeliners and shadows.

While I wholeheartedly support having an array of shadows, powders, and concealers for your makeup arsenal, I am a firm believer in the Asian philosophy of investing in skincare first and it will pay off in the long run. Healthy, glowing skin gives you a fresh canvas upon which you can build infinite number of looks. Flawless skin, said in another way, is always in style.

I recognize that there is no “one approach fits all” routine or product when it comes to caring for your skin. I encourage you to explore, experiment, and learn in order to tailor your routine to fit your individual needs and lifestyle.

That being said, I’ve cultivated some knowledge and experience during my time working in the skincare category. Skincare 101 is where I share some of that knowledge with you.
